Not all survivors from Prince of Wales and Repulse remained in Singapore when Island fell to the Japanese, it was stated in Lon- don to-day. Many officers and men were drafted elsewhere to reinforce certain naval stations. While some remained at Singa pore, others were transferred to Colombo, Trincomalee (Ceylon), and Durban. Actual number re- maining in Singapore not known.
